Sewing services

We offer sewing alterations on all styles and sizes of bridal gowns which can include - but not limited to:

- Shorten hems 

- Take in / let out on side seams 

- Take in on bust seams

- Add bustles

- Add /remove straps/sleeves

- Add structure

- Add correct cups

- Shorten/remove train

- lift shoulders/shorten straps

- Corset conversions

-Add remove layers 

- Reshape necklines

- Add things such as belts/beading.

We also offer alterations for prom, bridesmaids and some occasional wear.

Bespoke occasion wear can be made on request - please get intouch to discuss with Kayleigh in more detail.

During our quieter months (November - January) we may take on general alterations. Please call to make an appointment.

We offer a steaming service for all formal wear where we have availability to do so at an additional cost. Charges will vary dependant on garment type/style.

Charges for alterations can vary drastically from dress to dress. 

There is a minimum charge for bridal alterations which is £150.00.

The average cost of bridal alterations in the UK now is around 450.00 which would include straps, bodice, hem and  bustle.

Adding things like, straps, sleeves, corsets, cups, structure such as extra boning and complicated bustles can bump up the cost of your alterations.

If your dress is heavily detailed with Lace and beads and requires lots of unpicking and hand stitching then it is likely to be more costly. a lot of bridal gowns come with horsehair braiding in the hems whether it be in the underlings or on the outer layers, this is used to give body and structure to your gown and can be timely to unpick and re-attach, this will also bump up the cost of the alterations slightly.

There is always a NON REFUNDABLE BOOKING FEE  taken on booking of all fitting appointments of £45.00, this is to secure your fitting/time and date and cover the appointment time in our studio or travel time and expense if we are coming to you.
